Underage drinking in Illinois can carry serious consequences. Not only are the future consequences serious, but as of January 1, 2008, the Illinois Secretary of State has discretionary authority to suspend or revoke your driver’s license or permit (for three months) without a preliminary hearing if you receive court supervision for underage drinking.
